Fall is the perfect time to unwind and relax with family and friends. The new season brings new activities to take part in. One of the most anticipated fall events here at the castle is homecoming.
This year, the theme is “There’s No Place Like Homecoming”, a Wizard Of Oz based theme. Dancers will be accompanied by a custom yellow brick road leading into the school, and much more surprises can be found hidden all around the concourse and gym.
Homecoming is for sure going to be exciting this year with a new director of student council. Hopeful of an improved dance from previous years is Cabell Midland band director, Tim James. Mr. James promises this year’s homecoming will not disappoint.
The Wizard Of Oz theme is giving new and old student council members the opportunity to show off their decorating skills. This year, decoration for homecoming will match the theme, complete with cornstalks, scarecrows, and ruby-red slippers.
It is no doubt seniors will be feeling bitter-sweet about their final homecoming dance. Homecoming this year is sure to make its mark in the history books, and turn out to be something special. Student council is sure to give the class of 2017 a dance to remember.
On the other hand, freshman are rightfully eager to participate in their very first homecoming. Homecoming is the perfect opportunity to show off your sense of style to your classmates, and stand out.
Students are hopeful that homecoming this year will be bound to sparkle and shine!
