Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated by Americans everywhere. It is a time to give appreciation to all of our friends and family who give us so much to be thankful for.
At Cabell Midland, students are thankful for plenty of things that are special to them.
“I am thankful for my dog Daisy. She has the same birthday as my dead aunt who died in a car crash.” said junior Kaylee Johnson. “Daisy makes me the happiest girl in the world. It’s true when they say dog is a man’s best friend.”
“To me, I am most thankful for my parents.” said senior Birke Jennings. “The most gracious thing they have ever done for me is when they took me to see the world’s largest ball of twine in Kansas City.”
“By a landslide, I am most thankful for the rapper Mike Stud.” said senior J.T. Saunders. “He gets me pumped in the morning and before I go to sleep resting my head on the pillow.”
“Thanksgiving to me means being around family, which is the most grateful gift of all.” said Ms. Cobb. “I love my kids, and I love seeing them visit their family.”
This Thanksgiving, don’t forget what means most to you. Remember to give thanks in everything you do, and never take anything for granted!
