1. Measure your options
Start to scout out the field, and make a list of potential dates. It is good to know what you have to work with and have multiple options.
2. Get some support
Between you and your friends, you know many date options. They also may know who is asking who and who is available to ask. Friends can always be helpful in these type of situations.
3. Don’t be shy
Being shy is one of the biggest restrictions of finding a prom date. If you are a shy person, this might decrease your chances of getting a date. There are always many steps you can take to help you handle your fear.
4. Be yourself
When scoring a prom date, it is crucial to show others your true self. Strike up a conversation about a TV show you like or your favorite band.
5. Just ask
One of the best prom date ideas is to just go ahead and ask someone to be your date, even if you don’t know them very well. Take the leap, the worst thing that they can say is no, but odds are they are going to say yes because you rock!
6. Plan ahead
The best thing you could do is to make a plan in time so you are not rushing around at the last minute trying to find a date. You don’t want someone to be your date out of pity; asking in a timely fashion is always a good way to avoid that.
