Cabell Midland had the right mindset coming into Parkersburg. On the road, the Knights came out strong. Ivan Vaughn had a 45 yard touchdown rush on the opening drive. He bounced off of multiple tackles and rattled himself in to the end zone.  The extra point did not go in making it 6 – 0.  With a touchdown from the Big Reds, they took the lead 7 – 6. Ivan Vaughn once again broke free running a long touchdown, running 41 yards for a touchdown. ” They were giving me the looks i needed for me to break those long runs”. Said senior running back Ivan Vaughn. Then the defense began to pick it up and get the stops that were needed. Once the offense got back on the field, Vaughn got another touchdown giving him three early touchdowns. As the defense kept on stopping the Big Red offense, Ivan Vaughn continued to do his thing. Another two touchdowns before the first half came to an end. Vaughn had five touchdowns at the break. ” I kept telling coach over and over, give me the Rock”. Coming out after the half Ivan had the same exact mindset as always. As the time went away in the third, Ivan Vaughn punched it in for a sixth touchdown. This is a game Ivan Vaughn will not forget for a while. Coming into next week Vaughn and the Knights take on the Spring Valley Timberwolves. This is the West Virginia game of the week. Isaiah Vaughn, Ivan Vaughn’s little brother also gets reps with the one’s, said ” This is one of the most important game all year long”. “It would mean the world for us to walk off our field a w”. As always the knights will have a full week of practice and prepare to take on the Wolves.
