On Saturday, December 15, 2018, the Cabell Midland Archery Team went to Paul Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky to compete in their first tournament.

The team finished in second place of eleven high schools competing, with an overall score of 3204 points, merely 56 points behind the top-scoring team.

This tournament was hosted by Paul Blazer High School and was considered a state qualifying tournament.

Though the team didn’t win first, their coach, Jonathan Clemins, was proud of their hardwork thus far.

“I’m convinced that if we can do this well in the first tournament,” said Clemins, “we can make it to states no problem.”
