Some reasonable New Years resolutions

Some reasonable New Years resolutions

Zac Backus, Reporter

Whenever a year comes to an end we reflect back on our year and see how it went, and make some decisions for the next year. We make wild resolutions which can be very hard to keep and end up giving them up by February, like Going to the gym every day or go vegan. These are achievable for some, but switching on the fly like that is very hard for most people. Here are some (Reasonable) New years resolutions to try and do this 2019.

  • Try something new every Day/Week. Expand your horizons! This could be doing an activity you’d never thought you’d do, eating something exotic or even going somewhere completely bazaar or different. If you don’t think you can do something new every day, just do something new at least once a week. This might even make you find out your new hobby or new favorite food.
  • Read a new book once a month! Reading is one of the best things we can do to keep our minds mentally active and strong. Go to a bookstore and pick out that book you’ve been wanting to read and just go at it.
  • Get more sleep. This one can be hard if you have a job and go to school, but if you don’t then it can be done. More sleep can help lead to better grades, faster metabolism and just being more healthy.

These are all reasonable and doable resolutions to try and get to make 2019 your year. I wish everyone a happy New Years and to have fun!
