Things to do in West Virginia

Summer Break is coming up and that means road trips. Not many people enjoy going on long road trips, so here are a few activities you can do that are close:

  1. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum– a fun place to visit, especially if you enjoy ghostly figures. They have multiple stories to tell you about different tragic events that happened at the hospital.
  2. Oglebay Park Good Zoo– full of all kinds of different species of animals. The animals are close and can be observed very easily. The park is also relatively small and easy to walk around.
  3. West Virginia Botanic Garden– This garden trip is completely free of admission. It is a great place to take a walk, get away from people, and enjoy nature. The trails are a great place to run or walk. They even have a fairy garden for children with wild imaginations.
  4. Xscape! Live Escape Games– Can you escape in under 60 minutes? The puzzles are challenging, but not challenging enough that it ruins the fun. There are several different levels that vary in difficulty.
  5. Burning Rock Off- Road Park– There are all kinds of different rides and trials to go on. The trails vary in difficulty.
