The Rain Cloud

The Rain Cloud

Ruth Brown, reporter

The rain cloud is my friend

It is with me to the end

While I am there in my distressed state

Its raindrops declares my fate

The fate of broken dreams

The fate of what it seems

It seems to be all shattered

The drops on my scatter

I wish this cloud could leave

So that I can have a reason to believe

I do not want the rain cloud to be my friend

I wish not to have it to the end
