A Guide to Your Senior Year.

Zac Backus, Reporter

Here is a guide from a senior who only has three days left and is feeling very nostalgic and wistful. Senior year is full of so many amazing things and can be overwhelming at times, so here is a guide to help you out:

  • Apply to Colleges and Scholarships: If you are interested in furthering your education and going to a college or university, now is the time to educate yourself on ones and send in applications. Many colleges have rolling admissions, which mean that there isn’t a set date to apply by in order to get in. Some out of state colleges and most scholarships have a strict submission deadline, so make sure to read up on those and make sure to have those applications ready!
  • ACT/SAT: If your ACT/SAT score isn’t what you like, now is the time to study. Having a good score on either can only help you when it comes to getting into your dream school or getting scholarship money to help pay for school. Merit based scholarships depend on your GPA and ACT/SAT scores, so don’t forget about those.
  • Get your cords/cap and gown/senior memorabilia: Make sure to get your cap and gown purchased long before graduation and that you get all your stoles and cords ready for your big day. Cherish it.

Even though this is a guide to your senior year, nothing can prepare you for the whirlwind that is your last year of schooling. Cherish what time you have left and tell everyone who has gotten you this far thank you, they deserve it.
