Best Poptropica Islands

Hannah Tomes, Editor

I don’t know about you guys but let’s be honest here; Poptropica will always be fun no matter what age you are. It was an iconic part of our childhoods and it’s still going strong. It’s also a great game to play if you are ever bored in class. This was surprisingly difficult to make, but here is a list of the top five best islands.

Honorable Mention: Mystery Train

This island is really underrated and I never cared much about it until I finally decided to play it one day. There’s a great mystery element and a lot of action, it’s not too hard but also not too easy, and it even teaches you some history but not in a boring way. I would say this one is definitely worth playing.

5. Monster Carnival

Most of the newer islands aren’t that good but this one surprised me. It’s pretty easy overall, but the setting is great, it’s really interesting, and it gives me major Halloween vibes. There’s a lot of detail put into it and it makes you feel like you’re at an actual carnival.

4. Reality TV

This one is an oldie and although it used to make me really mad back in the day, it’s still one of the most iconic islands. There really is no other island like this one, and even though it can be extremely frustrating at times, it’s still fun. I never actually completed this island because I lost the very last challenge, and it haunts me to this day.

3. Spy

This one is definitely the best older island on Poptropica. Everyone wants to be a spy when they’re a kid and playing this island helped fulfill that dream. It’s fun, challenging, and there’s a good story element, which makes it more interesting than some of the other original islands.

2. Wild West

You get to ride around the countryside, capture bad guys, and most importantly, get a horse as a pet at the beginning of the game! What more could someone want? There is so much on this island to explore and it’s just a really fun one that you don’t have to think too much about.

1. Cryptids

There is no doubt this is the best island on Poptropica. There are so many different environments, the story is complex, there’s puzzles, and you’re literally chasing after monsters which could not be more fun. You never know what’s going to happen next or how the story is going to end. You get to learn about different myths and legends which, in my opinion, is pretty interesting. And, as an added bonus, there’s even a chance you’ll finally get to see bigfoot.
