Life After High School

Amber Mount, Reporter

My senior year of high school is finally here. I have been waiting for this day since the first day of freshman year and now I want it to slow down. We have basically been with the same people since elementary school. I still have classes with some of my Salt Rock Elementary buddies. That’s 13 years of school with them and after we step off the graduation stage, it’s very unlikely I will see them ever again. That’s a lot to take in.

Life after high school is going to be a big step into the real world. I have a plan for what I want to do after I leave, but many still do not. It’s our last time for everything with our people; it’s sad to think about. With that being said, I’m excited for college and a change in life, to finally have more freedom. Some may not even go to college and this will be their last year of schooling ever. We all have so many different paths in the future. It’s going to be sad not seeing the same people every day, but it’s a fresh start. Graduation is going to be such an emotional time for everyone.
