The NBA training camp officially kicked off on September 30, 2019 for the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, and Toronto Raptors. These teams have already started because they will play in the 2019 NBA Preseason Global Games. The first of these games will kick off tonight between the Shanghai Sharks and the Houston Rockets. New member Russell Westbrook will not be playing tonight in the preseason opener.

This is a very hyped up NBA season with a lot of seriously contending teams. With the Lakers turning their whole team around, every man on the roster is confident about this season. The Lakers haven’t been known for their defense lately, but new member Dwight Howard said that will change. ”I think we could be the best defensive team in the league,”-Dwight Howard on how they will be this year defensively. They also have a chance of getting better at defence with the addition of Avery Bradley.

“He’s the guy that everybody’s talking about,” Vogel said. “When you’ve got two of the best players in the world competing together and all anybody is talking about is Avery Bradley’s tenaciousness, that speaks volumes about what he’s been able to show in the first couple of days.”-Lakers new head coach Frank Vogel on the addition of Avery Bradley.

The Brooklyn Nets also got to see Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant together for the first time in a Nets jersey. At the defending champs training camp, the Toronto Raptors second year small forward Og Anunoby said “I think we will repeat”.

This NBA season will definitely be a good one and will live up to the hype.
