New Haunted House in Huntington

Hannah Tomes, Editor

It’s officially spooky season which means it’s time for pumpkin carving, watching scary movies, and going to haunted houses. If you’re a fan of haunted attractions, but are starting to get tired of the same things year after year, look no further. There’s a new haunted house opening in Huntington soon and it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Haunted Majestic isn’t your ordinary haunted house; it’s actually on the river, making it the only floating haunted house in the region. The ship itself has two floors, lots of winding hallways, and dozens of rooms. It will officially be open October 17, two weeks from now, so mark your calendars! It will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday after that until November 2. Tickets are only $17 and Fast Passes are $22!

Unlike other haunted houses, Haunted Majestic will also be having special guests every single night, who you can get a picture with or an autograph from for free! There are multiple horror authors and comic book artists coming, as well as TV stars like Butch Patrick from “The Munsters” and even a couple actors from “The Walking Dead!” There will be lots of vendors selling food and other items as well.

Haunted Majestic even offers paranormal ghost hunts on the ship after hours on certain nights with a professional ghost hunting team for just $20. It’s hard to tell what you might find on a ship that’s been around for a hundred years and was operational during multiple wars.

This October make sure you check out Huntington’s newest haunted house for the scariest time of your life. It is located at 6100 Kyle Lane, Huntington, WV. Visit for more information.
