Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Whitney Herrera, Reporter

One of the fullest times of the year; where everyone comes together and cherishes their time with their loved ones. It’s the best time of the year. Thanksgiving is a popular holiday around the world where you can eat stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and yams. Can’t forget the good old cornbread which grandmas make as well. It’s a chill holiday right before Christmas and its’ in the fall season which is everyone’s favorite.

Thanksgiving is about being grateful for what you have and being thankful for what you don’t have that could harm you. It’s a day where the whole family gets together and has a feast. “Thanksgiving is the best holiday yet because of the time of year,” said senior Amber Mount. This time of year is not too hot nor too cold and you can even invite your friends to come and hang with you.

It’s no surprise this is a common holiday around the globe and there are many reasons as to why it is a favorite. The only downfall about it is that it can make you gain so much if you’re someone who’s fit, but I’m not so it doesn’t bother me. It would be a great cheat day, though, and you can absolutely not forget about the pumpkin pie. Lord have mercy, it’s so good. Just kidding, I don’t like it, but to other people it’s good and smells good, too. So thanksgiving is a holiday when we should make the most memories and talk to one another about drama or life itself. Hope your thanksgiving goes great this year!
