Last night 11/13/19 the Rockets and Clippers tipped off a very exciting game. The game started at 7:30 and was a very good game. At the end of the 1st quarter the score was 15-31 with the Rockets ahead. Rockets guard James Harden had 14 points in the 1st quarter. But the Clippers ended up coming back and the final score was 102-93, but the Rockets still won. James Harden had a great game with 47 points in 44 minutes. Harden also got help from center Clint Capela, who got injured late in the game. Capela had 12 points and 20 rebounds. Russell Westbrook had a solid 17 points in 30 minutes. The Rockets also got bad news this week learning that their starting small forward and sharpshooter Eric Gordon was gonna be out for awhile. He will be out for six weeks, because he had to have surgery on his right knee. But Ben Mclemore stepped up and got the start and had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in 23 minutes of action.

On the other side the Clippers didn’t play at their best abilities. But they were also in foul trouble during the end of the game. Clippers starting point guard Patrick Beverley ended up fouling out late in the game. When Beverley was guarding Harden in the game he went 0-6 and had 4 turnovers.

Kawhi Leonard had a solid 26 points and Lou Williams had 20. But none of this was enough for the Clippers to come out with the dub.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers was ejected from the game during the final minute of the game. At the time the Clippers were only down by 7. After this Patrick Beverley got a technical, even though he was already fouled out of the game. During the Doc Rivers ejection his son Austin Rivers, point guard for the Houston Rockets, was telling the refs to kick him out of the game. Afterwards Austin said on twitter “Welp…. thanksgiving is going to be weird….”.

This game was very hyped up and they play again November/ 22 against each other. That game will be even more hyped up since Russell Westbrook’s comments on Patrick Beverley. Westbrook said ” He dont guard nobody, man”, when asked about Patrick Beverley. They’ve had some feuds in the back, it will make these two teams even more fun to watch when they play each other.
