Mere’s Motivation: December Edition

It’s finally December which means we are very close to the holiday break. Three weeks until the break and to some it may feel like three months. I know that being at school may not seem appealing during this time especially with finals right around the corner. I am here to tell you that we must make the days count. Even if fun times are ahead we shouldn’t count down the days because we’re going to regret it later in life.

“Don’t count the days, make the days count.” – Muhammad Ali

I know it is fun to look forward to a certain holiday or event. I do it all the time. As I am getting older I realize that I have wasted time just trying to get to what I was looking forward to.  What I could have been doing was making the days count by planning fun things to do with my friends or even doing a kind deed to someone special. This way I can make every day count. There isn’t anything wrong with having self care days too.

I challenge you to make these last few weeks of school count. I know it’s easy to be looking on ahead to bigger and better things. You must start somewhere and to make headway, try making someone’s day brighter. You could also reflect on the day and what made it great, fun, or an overall good day. By doing this the days will go by quicker and you aren’t throwing your days down the drain!
