Last night December 11,2019 Kawhi Leonard returned to Toronto for the first time since his decision to go play for the Los Angeles Clippers. At the beginning of the game Kawhi was handed his championship ring from last year’s finals. The ring was presented to him by his friend, and Toronto Raptors All Star point guard Kyle Lowry. Also the players from last year that are still on the team were there to present his ring, also Raptors president Masai Ujiri was in attendance.

The game ended up being a very entertaining matchup. The Clippers ended up winning 112-92. Kawhi had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assist in his return.

Toronto Raptors guard Fred Vanvleet wasn’t able to suit up for this game. He has a right knee injury. The guard has had a very good year averaging 18.0 points a game.

The Raptors record right now is 16-8 and 5th in the Eastern Conference. The Clippers are 19-7 and 2nd in the Western Conference.

As expected, since he won them a championship, Kawhi was not booed by the fans in Toronto. He got a standing ovation by the fans.
