Should School Start Later?

All over the US, schools have attempted to test out the idea of starting school at a later time. Studies have shown that schools who begin eight o’clock or later report better test scores, a higher graduation rate, and overall better grades. Cabell Midland begins at seven-thirty sharp. Have you ever thought about the kids who live up to forty-five minutes away? Maybe you are one of those people. One student, Maddie Ayers, gave the statement

“If school started later, I would put more effort into the things I accomplish throughout the day and I think it would also improve my overall happiness.”

Many students gave me statements regarding how much happier they would be if school started later and they got more rest. Maybe this is something top consider for out school…
