I Take Pottery

Rachael Oxley, Reporter

I take pottery.

I genuinely cannot decide if I enjoy this class or not.

First of all, it needs to be a block, because half the time I am cleaning up glaze and clay for ten minutes off a table before I have to go to APUSH across the school, which is already disappointing. If you look at the picture below, you can see I’m not even good at it anyway.

We try to experiment with glazes because half the time we don’t care that much. Mine is the one that’s half and half, which was the assignment, to blend two colors. For some reason Hailey and I chose lavender and whatever tourmaline is. In the end, my plate warped and cracked in the kiln. Although, if you’re looking for a semi-challenging class that will exercise the right side of your brain, choose pottery. I personally chose it because my brother did it.
