Heisman Winner Joe Burrow

Jeffrey Jezewski, Reporter

Joe Burrow is LSU greatest QB of all time and some say best player to even play at LSU. Joe Burrow also set LSU and SEC marks for passing yards (4,715) and passing touchdowns (48), and school records for completions (342) and total offense (5,004). Joe Burrow was also given the Maxwell and Davey O’Brien awards, this is only given to the best overall player and best quarterback in college football.

Were not here to talk about what stats or other awards he has won. We are here to talk about the Heisman Trophy award. The Heisman Trophy is an annual award given to the outstanding college football player in the US by the Downtown Athletic Club of New York City.

This award was given to Burrow because of the mark on college football that he left. Being clutch and taking down 2 time college football champions Alabama and making them look like there not on the same level. Burrow showed that he can play on the biggest stages winning the SEC championship in a breeze over national rank Georgia. Question is can Burrow beat the best in the college football playoffs and can he succeed in the NFL.
