It comes around every year at the end of the year; gift exchanging, the decorations, and all around merriness with friends and family. It can be fun to buy gifts for everyone but it can really make a dent in your wallet.

Christmas is a time to be thoughtful and happy. Secret Santa is a popular thing to do among friends and family because it saves money and it is fun to see what your loved ones really know about you and what you like. Secret Santa for those of you who don’t know is an activity where you put everyone’s names who are participating in a hat or something and each person draws a name from and buys for that person.

The whole idea of Secret Santa is for whoever you get to not know who’s buying for them. I’m going to give a few tips on what to buy for somebody. If the person that you want to buy for is kind of geeky, as in a Star Wars fan or something along those lines, then something that has the show and or characters on it would be good.

You could also get them a lanyard or a key chain, or maybe if they have a car a steering wheel cover or something dangly to hang on the rearview mirror. Overall Secret Santa is about how thoughtful you are and not about the price of what something costs, but the true value or shared memory that you may have with that other person.
