Here at the castle, on the occasional Friday, students and staff get the luxury of pepperoni roll day. On this day, we don’t eat healthy, we splurge on the real taste of WV: bread, pepperoni, cheese, and love.

I have Journalism during 1st lunch so I use my press pass to observe the chaos outside in the cafeteria while eating my 1st “pep” I grab from the 1 cart that has them. The lines are longer on this day than they are any day of the year – even worse than Thanksgiving. Students push and shove and order is pretty much lost for the 10 minutes it takes to pass out the pep, but, once it’s over and everyone’s belly is full, we try to sneak seconds! Students go crazy on pep day!
