January 2020

Amber Mount, Reporter

This first month of 2020  has easily been one of the worst months we have ever had. We have had so many natural disasters and viruses in just these 31 days.

In January of 2020, we all thought World War 3 was on the brink of starting after Trump sent a missile that killed Iranian general Soleimani.

We then had hundreds of horrible forest fires in Australia that killed roughly 800 people and 1 billion animals. It is one of the worst fires we have ever seen in decades.

After that, we had a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that it off the coast of Jamaica and was felt all the way in Miami.

After that, we have the coronavirus that has so far killed 250 people and sickened more than 7000 people.

Lastly, we ended the month with the widely known basketball star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, and 7 others dying in a helicopter crash. All of these horrible tragedies are just the widely known ones, there is multiple other tragedies that have happened this month. Let’s hope that the rest of this year gets better.
