Lakers’ Big Win at Denver

Last night, February 12, 2020, the Los Angeles Lakers visited Denver to play the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers won this game 120-116. This game ended up going to overtime. LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined for 65 points in the big win. Even though the Nuggets lost this game they played really hard, LeBron said that “this game was like a playoff game.”

The Denver Nuggets are 38-17 and 2nd in the Western Conference, they’re now 4 games out of the 1st place.

The Lakers are 41-12 and 1st in the Western Conference.

LeBron James had a outstanding game Wednesday night. Posting a big triple double. He had 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assist. His dynamic duo partner Anthony Davis had 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assist. Lakers backup center Dwight Howard also had a very efficient game, posting 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assist.

LeBron said this after the game, “We are where we need to be. We’ll come back off the break and get ready for the final stretch of the regular season. You don’t put too much into it. You understand you played some good basketball along the way, played some not good basketball. But you want to continue to get better and continue to trust the process. We look forward to when we get back, getting back on the floor and see how far we’ll continue to grow.”

Nuggets duo also had a great game. Point guard Jamal Murray had 32 points and 10 assist. Big man Nikola jokic had 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assist.

Even though he wasn’t happy with the outcome of the game Nuggets head coach was happy with the effort his team put out on the court. But he said at the end of the game they played “very un-Nugget-like down the stretch,”.

After this game its safe to say now that these two teams are top teams in the Western Conference.
