During testing season many people can become stressed, tired, and anxious. There are many ways to succeed when testing while keeping your sanity. Some tips for success would include:
- Go to sleep a little earlier than normal
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Drink at least three to five bottles of water daily
- Keep up with self hygiene
- Do an activity you enjoy such as reading, listening to music, drawing, etc.
These are just tips for keeping up mentally, while there are also many tips for the day of testing!
- If you do not know the answer to a question, leave it blank and go back
- Read the directions and each question thoroughly
- Identify key phrases and words that help you answer questions with ease
- If it is a multiple choice question, use the elimination process
- If you feel overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and resume your test
Even though testing season can take a toll on everyone, remember to stay level headed and one step in advance.
