Upcoming Games of 2020

*”Political Machine 2020″ The once-every-four-years political simulator is, like the U.S. elections, right around the corner. Political Machine 2020 will include democratic candidates Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg. On the Republican side, Trump can face off against Mitt Romney and George W. Bush.

*”Doom Eternal” Doom Eternal brings hell to Earth, a nice change of setting from 2016’s excellent reboot. Expect to fight twice as many demons in this installment, using a brutal upgraded armory. This includes a new version of the Super Shotgun, which features a grapple-friendly ‘meat hook’ on the end, and hopefully a ton more ludicrous weapon mods.

*”Mount & Blade 2:bannerlord” This sequel adds way more RPG elements, including a full single-player campaign with an unwieldy level of freedom, new factions, castle sieges, and more game play elements. The Medieval fantasy sim is a chimera of genres: one part RPG, another management and strategy, all set in a war-torn sandbox. Starting from nothing, you can eventually establish a dynasty, traipse around the world robbing everyone or become a famous, tournament-winning knight.

*”doom 64″ PC is finally getting the N64 Doom, and it’s also a preorder bonus for Doom Eternal. Of course there’s some visual improvements, but I don’t know if much else will justify the standalone price tag.
