  1. Reduce Caffeine

An excessive amount will only further stress. Instead, replace your pop with water or herbal teas to stimulate relaxation.

2. Get Sleep

Lack of good sleep is one of the biggest causes for stress. If you are struggling to fall asleep, there are many ways to help you relax to sleep. Avoid caffeine right before you go to bed because this can keep your mind racing. Read a book to get your mind tired. Also, get rid of all distractions such as your phone, TV, and etc. These can be all the difference to help you reach your zen.

3.  Meditation

I personally listen to ocean sounds to block out the constant noise that irritates me. The sounds help you concentrate exactly on what you are doing.

4. Talk to a Friend

Having an outlet to go to in time of need is the key to de-stress. They can help you off the ledge if you are spiraling out of control. Talking it out can help diffuse your emotions of anger and make the situation seem less dramatic.

5. Learn to Say N0

A common reason for stress is having too much on your plate. You need to know your own personal boundaries and know what is your limit. Being able to say no may even boost your confidence by standing up for yourself.
