COVID-19 Update
March 18, 2020
The mood of our nation is growing heavy as “social distancing” continues in efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19. West Virginia got its first confirmed case of the virus on March 17th concluding that all 50 states in the United States are positive with the illness. Governor Jim Justice mandated that all bars, restaurants, and bars close to only carryout orders until this pandemic slows down. Schools remain shut down in response at least until after spring break which leaves students to do their work online. The cases are rapidly growing and we still have no indication of a cure. Some predict that this virus could last until fall or early summer but everything still in question as we learn more about this disease. In the mean time stay in your house and limit yourself from the public. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for the best measure of basic protection. If you are having symptoms seek medical advice early. Stay home and follow your health provider’s directions. Lastly, if anyone in your family is sick have the whole family quarantine as well. This will help in regards to a family member who was around the virus not further spreading to the public. Stay safe and remember to remain 6 feet apart from loved ones!
