2021 Elvis Biopic

Nathan Stephens

It has taken many years and many bad biopics to make one of the most highly anticipated movies. The king will have a movie coming out about his life. They have a star studded cast in Tom Hanks, Rufus Sewell, Austin Butler and Stranger things star Dacre Montgomery. The filming was halted due to Tom Hanks Covid-19 diagnosis but is back on track. Austin butler had to beat out many well known people to get the role of Elvis Which included Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Harry Styles. He must be pretty good at the part to beat out such good actors. There have been several biopics about these great musicians and probably more to come but in all reality no musician stands close to Elvis and the influence he had and still has on generations. This is one of the most important films ever made because of Elvis.

Elvis was a poor kid who made it big because of a voice unmatched. He had the looks, the voice, the moves. The man had everything that you could want. At the time Women wanted to be with him and men wanted to be him. If Elvis was wearing sideburns so was everyone else, and so goes with the other trends that he started. Without Elvis a lot of Rock n roll history would be gone and the world today that was shaped by that culture would be gone. The man had a life that others could only dream of but he also faced his demons and loneliness. You don’t get named the king if your not the best and he proved time and time again that he was. This is an important story and one that needs to be told. I personally am very exited for the movie and hopefully others get to learn his story.
