Lady Knights Soccer Victory over Point Pleasant

The Lady Knights soccer team has had a fabulous season this year! Just a week out of sectionals, the team is holding onto their winning record.
The Lady Knights played against Point Pleasant high school last Saturday afternoon at 3:00. The Knights came out with a 1-0 win.
The Lady Knights played strong physically as well as staying engaged the entire 80 mins.
Sophomore Olivia Charles scored in the first half of the game which went on to be the winning goal of the game. Point pleasant played very intense defense against the sophomore but was not able to stop her from scoring.
Junior goalie, Elaina Hess, stopped several game changing goals that Point shot but was able to hold them to a scoring ground zero. Hess has started varsity goal since her sophomore year and continues to improve every season.
Sophomore Olivia Charles went down in the third quarter with a shoulder injury and had to be dismissed from the rest of the game.
Senior Amy Borowski and freshman Emma Shields covered for the loss of the defensive mid and covering empty field space that was left by Point.
“Cabell Midland’s defensive line has had a fabulous game totaling with almost zero mistakes,” quoted Knight announcers from the game.
The Lady Knights play their last regular season game this Tuesday and deserve all the support they can have!
