Cabell County Schools is officially out of the green color code for week beginning of Oct. 11, 2020. Instead of being in the green color code, we have downgraded and went to the gold color code right under green. There are four color codes for Coronavirus depending on how bad the cases are in that area. The color we all want to be in is green, than a low case of COVID-19 is gold, moderate is orange, and the worst, with a high amount of cases is red.

To prevent the spread of the virus, people are giving special attention to the colors that are under green. According to Jedd Flowers, face coverings are still required for the grades 3-12 while children in PK-2 are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings. If a student or a staff member is not feeling so well, they can undergo watchful for 24 hours at home. If they feel better under the time period of 24 hours, they are able to return to school or workplace. If anyone has the symptoms of fever or chills, coughs, shortness of breath, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, sore throat, headache, muscle or body aches, fatigue, and runny nose, you are highly encouraged to get a covid-19 test.
