Nicholas Linville, Reporter/ Editor
My name is Nicholas Linville. I transferred from Lincoln County this year, but now I’m a junior at CMHS and a reporter/editor for The Medieval Times™. I’m what I guess you could call a “nerd.” I enjoy a seasoned plethora of activities, including a variety of visual arts, particularly drawing, and I also love reading and writing: I’m currently working on a novel. Additionally, I like listening to and playing music, especially drums, though I have yet to purchase an acoustic kit. I won the Golden Horseshoe in the eighth grade, and I take pride in being a native West Virginian, even if I don’t fully embrace the culture. I have an affinity for all things horror, often mixed in with comedy. When I’m not working, I’m probably playing baseball and hitting dingers. After high school, I hope to pursue a degree in computer science, while maintaining freelance writing as a hobby. You can expect me to cover all things pertaining to technology and the state of modern entertainment. My writing style is archaic and formal—and I’m not afraid to get scholarly. I’ve previously written for my local paper, The Lincoln Journal, formulating a series of weekly bird articles which has long since been discontinued. I still hold a deep passion for journalism and am excited to contribute to a smaller publication.
